Stephanie Wilkes, Clinical Intern
“I believe therapy is a space to feel seen, supported, and empowered as you work toward meaningful change.”
Therapy with Me
I see therapy as a collaborative process where we work together to explore your experiences, build insight, and move toward meaningful change. My approach is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and respect for your story. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly heard.
I draw from Integrative Systemic Therapy, which means I look at the full picture, how your relationships, identity, and environment all interact with what you're feeling. I won’t just focus on symptoms, I want to help you understand the deeper patterns and connections in your life so that we can create sustainable, empowering shifts.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship stress, perfectionism, or just feeling stuck, I’ll meet you where you are. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and I’m here to offer support, perspective, and practical tools as you work through what matters most to you.

Training & Education
I’m currently pursuing my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Northwestern University, where I’m training in Integrative Systemic Therapy. This approach helps me understand clients within the broader context of their relationships, identities, and environments, allowing me to tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs.
Before beginning my clinical training, I earned a bachelor’s degree from Connecticut College and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My educational and professional experiences have shaped a thoughtful, collaborative approach to therapy that values both insight and practical support.
As an intern at Monarch Wellness & Psychotherapy, I work under the supervision of Monarch’s Clinical Director, Carissa L. Strohecker Hannum, LCPC, LPC, CCTP, providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families. I’m committed to offering culturally responsive, inclusive care and am continuing to grow my expertise in areas such as eating disorders, relationship dynamics, and anxiety. With the support and mentorship of a highly experienced clinical team, I bring warmth, curiosity, and thoughtfulness to each session, and strive to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered in their healing process.
